Deputy Ports Operations Captain

Main job responsibilities:
•    Manage the Vessel Traffic & Operations Unit, and the Cargo Operation Unit.
•    In charge for the administrative handling of the ship's file.
•    Perform post discharge and post load reconciliations after vessel departure by comparing terminal list.
•    Administrative completion of loading lists, loading confirmation.
•    Contacts with partner shipping companies.
•    Processing and follow-up.
•    Commitment to deadlines.
•    Declaring dangerous goods
•    Verification of manifests and follow-up of arrivals
•    Supervision of operations port team to insure proceeding with timely port customs and security formalities/measures required prior to vessels arrivals and departure.

Competencies / Skills:
•    Prior work experience in shipping & logistics (preferred in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics)
•    Excellent English skills
•    Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills.
•    Problem solving, priority setting and time management skills.

Required Qualifications:
•    Retired lieutenant colonel from the Egyptian Navy / 
•    15 years of experience.
•    Proficiency in both written and oral English and Arabic. 
•    Proficient in computer skills, especially concerning accounting software and reporting tools.
